Simple Plan is teaming with Verizon Wireless for its upcoming tour. The first leg of the outing -- which is in support of the Lava album "Still Not Getting Any ..." -- starts Oct. 30 at the Ogden Theatre in Denver and runs through Nov. 18 at the El Rey in L.A. More dates will be announced through 2005.

At some dates, Verizon Wireless will record live audio ringtones. The content will be available exclusively through Verizon Wireless. Additionally, the company will be producing trivia games, Web promotions and text messaging contests related to the tour, accessible at SimplePlanConcerts.com.

Another Verizon Wireless-sponsored contest will ask fans to "mash" (remix) Simple Plan's new single "Welcome to My Life." The winner, to be chosen by the band, will win $2,500, a trip to L.A. to see Simple Plan in concert and a part in the band's next music video.

Simple Plan is booked by Mitch Rose at CAA and managed by Robert Lanni at Coalition Entertainment Management.
