Brian Becker, chairman/CEO of Clear Channel Entertainment (CCE), will be the keynote speaker at the Billboard Backstage Pass touring conference, to be held Nov. 8-9 at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York.

Becker will be the subject of a Q&A conducted by Ray Waddell, Billboard senior writer for touring.

Becker is part of a premier list of touring-industry movers and shakers who will take part in the conference. The international pool of panelists includes not only corporate and boutique promoters, agents and managers, but representatives from the worlds of broadcasting, record labels, production, venue management, ticketing, insurance, e-media, travel, marketing and sponsorships, consumer goods and other sectors that affect the touring business.

At the helm of CCE since 2000, Becker has been at the center of the concert industry's transition from a small group of independent and competitive regional promoters to today's consolidated landscape. A subbsidiary of Clear Channel Communications, CCE is the world's largest tour and concert producer, and is also the largest owner and operator of event venues, including the majority of U.S. amphitheaters.

Becker is on the board of directors for Gibson Guitar and is an honorary board member of the T.J. Martell Foundation; he was also recently appointed to the advisory board of the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding.
