Gibson's Epiphone Guitars division will launch an exclusive auction on eBay for one of the earliest pairs of the John Lennon Casino reissues, the "1965" and "Revolution" models. The pair, No. 25, is one of a small number held from the original run created in 1999. The auction will be open for 10 days; a percentage of the proceeds will benefit the John Lennon Scholarship Fund, operated by the BMI Foundation.

Epiphone has also delivered a collection of Lennon models to the John Lennon Museum in Tokyo. The collection, which will be on display for one year, includes a limited-edition trio of Gibson J-160E acoustic/electric guitars that replicate the model Lennon used throughout his career.

At the Hilton Amsterdam Hotel, site of Lennon and Yoko Ono's honeymoon "bed-in" in 1969, a Gibson John Lennon J-160E Peace model will be on semi-permanent display in the lobby/bar area beginning tomorrow. An unveiling by the hotel accompanied by photos of the bed-in will be on display for three months and is free to the public.
