The Black Eyed Peas will play two shows in South Africa this November. The American hip-hop act will play the Dome in Johannesburg on November 20, followed by Cape Town's Belville Velodrome on November 23.

The shows will be sponsored by local clothing retailer Edgars and the South African Broadcasting Corporation's (SABC) three commercial radio stations: 5fm, Metro FM and Good Hope FM. Johannesburg-based Real Concerts and 206 Productions will promote the two dates in association with U.S.-based Thirty-Three Productions.

Randall Abrahams, GM of Commercial Radio at the SABC, commented that the stations' collaboration is "testament to the broad appeal" of the act in the South African market.

The Black Eyed Peas is the latest high-profile band to add South Africa to their touring ambitions. R.E.M. recently announced plans for their first tour of the country, beginning March 3, 2005 in Cape Town.
