MTV Networks Asia Pacific has revamped its senior executive team as part of an overall strategy for growth in the region.

MTV Networks Australia managing director Nigel Robbins has added stripes as senior VP of the affiliate. Robbins has also been appointed to the board of Nickelodeon Australia, a joint venture between MTV Networks Asia and XYZ Networks Australia.

Robbins has clocked in 11 years at MTV, with postings in Hong Kong, New York, Singapore, Tokyo and, currently, Sydney. He reports to Frank Brown, president, MTV Networks Asia Pacific.

Joining MTV as executive VP of advertising sales is Toby Hayward and as VP of research and consumer insights is Prashun Dutt. Both Singapore-based positions are newly created. Until recently, Hayward was executive VP of advertising sales at media corporation Star Group Ltd. Dutt joins MTV from CNBC Asia Pacific.

"These multi-talented and experienced executives have been tapped to drive our regional expansion and build our position as the leading networks for kids, youth and young adults," Brown says. "We're in another period of phenomenal growth and their appointments are critical to our future plans."
