Mid-'90s alt-pop/jam-band outfit Spin Doctors have signed a recording contract with multimedia company TriMedia Entertainment Group. The band, which re-formed its original lineup three years ago after releasing two albums without guitarist Eric Schenkman, is recording a new album for a first-quarter 2005 release.

The new record -- produced by Matt Wallace -- will be released on TriMedia's RuffNation label. The exclusive pact covers the Spin Doctors' next five albums, at TriMedia's discretion. Following the album's release, the band is planning a three-week club tour of Europe.

Spin Doctors released four albums in the '90s on Epic, including their 1991 breakthrough "Pocket Full of Kryptonite." The group's most recent studio album, 1999's "Here Comes the Bride," was released on Uptown/Universal.
