Ludacris has signed an exclusive worldwide publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing Group for future works.

The rapper, who records for Universal Music Group's Disturbing Tha Peace/Def Jam South label, was previously affiliated with EMI Music.

"I wanted to put everything in the same camp," says Ludacris (real name: Chris Bridges). His publishing entity is Ludacris Universal Publishing (ASCAP).

The Universal deal kicks off with the rapper's fourth album, "Red Light District," due Dec. 7. Previous sets "Back for the First Time," "Word of Mouf" and "Chicken-N-Beer" account for 9 million in U.S. sales, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
