OutKast, Maroon 5, West also get multiple nods.

Usher and Alicia Keys are the leading finalists for the Billboard Music Awards, which will be held Dec. 8 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will air live on Fox.

Usher is a contender for awards in 13 categories, while Keys is up for 12. Other multiple finalists include Maroon 5, OutKast, Kanye West, R. Kelly, Gretchen Wilson, Hoobastank and Jay-Z.

As previously reported, Ryan Seacrest will host the ceremony, which will feature performances by Gwen Stefani, Usher, Nelly and Green Day.

LaFace/Zomba artist Usher is a finalist in categories that include artist of the year, R&B/hip-hop artist, male artist, Hot 100 artist and Billboard 200 album of the year for "Confessions." Keys, who is signed to J Records, is up for awards that include artist of the year, female artist, Hot 100 songwriter of the year and Billboard 200 album of the year for "The Diary of Alicia Keys." The two dominate the category of R&B/Hip-Hop single of the year, in which the finalists are Usher's "Burn" and "Yeah!" and Keys' "If I Ain't Got You" and "Diary."

Maroon 5 and OutKast are the other finalists for artist of the year. Those two are also up for duo/group artist of the year, alongside Hoobastank and Linkin Park. OutKast's "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below" (LaFace/Zomba) is a finalist for Billboard 200 album of the year, alongside Josh Groban's "Closer" (Reprise/Warner Bros.) and the sets by Usher and Keys.

In addition to Usher, finalists for male artist of the year are Toby Keith, Twista and West. Beyoncé, Britney Spears and Norah Jones join Keys as finalists for female artist of the year.

Stevie Wonder will receive Billboard's Century Award, the magazine's highest honor for creative achievement, during the ceremony.
