Rachael Bickerton has been named VP of business affairs for Warner Strategic Marketing in Burbank, Calif.

In addition to supervising company-related litigation and trademark issues, she will oversee the business affairs department, negotiating artist and production deals, catalog acquisitions, joint venture and finished goods agreements, audio and video licenses and catalog-related digital deals.

Bickerton was previously senior director for BMG Strategic Marketing Group in New York.

She holds an LLB law degree from Southampton University and LPC post-graduate degree from the College of Law.

As a division of Warner Music Group, Warner Strategic Marketing serves as the central catalog development, licensing, soundtrack and television marketing area for the corporation. The unit consists of Rhino Entertainment, Warner Music Group Soundtracks, WSM Home Video, Warner Special Products and WMG's Television Marketing department.

The division also develops, markets and promotes audio and video products from the WMG catalog. Its responsibilities include licensing WMG's music for film, television and video game uses, creating custom premium products and developing soundtrack opportunities for releases by WMG labels.
