Koch Entertainment Distribution has forged an exclusive deal with horror, cult and sci-fi distributor Elite Entertainment.

Port Washington, N.Y.-based Koch will distribute all Elite catalog titles and new releases in the U.S. and Canada.

Scarborough, Maine-based Elite is known for restoring and distributing onto DVD such films as "Night of the Living Dead," "Evil Dead," "Tower of Evil" and "I Spit on Your Grave." Its catalog also includes silent films such as "Nosferatu," "Der Golem" and "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari." The company recently entered the Japanese horror genre; it released "Uzumaki" in September and will debut the new DVD "Marronnier" this spring.

Koch's announcement comes a day after the company signed exclusive North American distribution deals for its audio business with new hip-hop label I.M. Records and Christian/gospel label Alliant Music Group. At least one more video distribution deal is expected to be announced in the next week, according to a company spokesperson.
