Alicia Keys is embarking on a major U.S. tour in February 2005 called The Diary Tour.
The tour will begin Feb. 25 in Miami. Columbia artist John Legend will open all dates.
Keys says the tour will be "conceptual" and "thematic" in nature, with rehearsals to begin later this month. "I'm rearranging songs to go with it," she tells Billboard.com. "This one's going to be pretty exciting."
The Diary Tour will hit intimate venues in 34 cities across the United States, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Washington, D.C. and Las Vegas.
Keys last toured the United States as part of the Ladies First tour with Missy Elliott and Beyoncé in 2004. "That tour only played 18 cities, so I didn't get to go to a lot of places," she says. "I wanted to come back and tour America."
The Diary Tour is being presented by MBK Entertainment, Atlanta Worldwide Touring and the William Morris Agency. Alicia will play her hometown of New York City on April 22 at Radio City Music Hall. She will also play two night stands in Los Angeles March 16-17 and Atlanta on April 6-7 at the Fox Theatre. The tour will conclude on April 23 in New Jersey at the PNC Bank Arts Center.
