Following months of speculation, the Black Crowes will return to the concert stage for five New York performances, billed by brothers and founding members Chris and Rich Robinson as "All Join Hands." The shows are set for March 22-27 at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The concerts mark the first shows by the Crowes since Oct. 31, 2001.

Tickets for the limited engagement will be available Jan. 25 via an Internet pre-sale at www.blackcrowes.com and www.musictoday.com. The public on-sale date is set for Feb. 5.

Each show will feature a special opening guest: John Butler Trio (March 22), the Bees (March 23), the Soundtrack Of Our Lives (March 25), North Mississippi Allstars (March 26) and Ben Kweller (March 27).

Longtime manager Pete Angelus says in a statement that these are the Crowes' only confirmed shows for now. "Regardless of the speculation, we are going to see how these shows at the Hammerstein evolve before giving any further consideration to additional shows," says Angelus.

The Black Crowes are booked by Jonathan Levine at Monterey Peninsula Artists.
