Mike Weller has been appointed managing director of EMI Music Publishing Germany. With effect from Feb. 1, Weller will have overall responsibility for overseeing the company's activities in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

In a simultaneous move, Peter Ende, president/CEO of EMI Music Publishing Continental Europe, has been named chairman of the German music publishing company.

"I am delighted to hand over the helm of one of our most important companies in Continental Europe to Mike at a time when the German company has once again delivered great results in a very difficult market environment," comments Ende on the appointment.

In his new role, Weller will report to Ende and Terry Foster-Key, COO of that region.

Hamburg-based Weller has enjoyed a lengthy career in the music publishing sector. He served for 13 years with Sony/ATV Music Publishing, most recently as VP GSA and Central Europe.
