Alicia Keys, Good Charlotte, Kelly Clarkson, Hoobastank and Simple Plan are among those set to perform at MTV Asia Aid on Feb. 3 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. Jennifer Lopez will contribute a pre-recorded performance.

Asian acts confirmed as performers include India's Asha Bhosle, Thailand's Bird Thongchai McIntyre and Tata Young, Taiwan's Jay Chou, Japan's Namie Amuro, South Korea's Shinhwa, Malaysia's Siti Nurhaliza and Indonesia's Slank.

In addition, Sting, 50 Cent, Ricky Martin, Nelly, Green Day, Moby and Ronan Keating will deliver taped messages of support during the broadcast, which will be shown on all MTV channels worldwide.

As previously reported, MTV has "repositioned" its annual MTV Asia Awards, which were originally planned for Feb. 3 in Bangkok, as MTV Asia Aid, a global benefit for tsunami victims.

MTV says the broadcast will be available rights-free and cost-free to all broadcasters globally to maximize distribution and help generate donations for primary recipient UNICEF, as well as additional charities in local markets.

CNN International will support the event with specially created vignettes highlighting the need for continued contributions.
