British songwriter and producer Guy Chambers has launched a production company, Helix Music. Based in London, Helix is a partnership between Chambers' firm Orgasmatron and management company Bloodmusic, which is helmed by Johnny and David Crawford.

The first signing to the new venture is London-based rock quartet Linchpin, whom the Crawfords signed to a management deal last year. Chambers has been working closely with the band in recent months, writing new material with them and helping them develop their raw sound.

"It's enormously exciting to be working with such a young, enthusiastic and creative band that has set their sights extremely high," Chambers says of the act, whose four members are just 14 years old.

Major labels and music publishers have expressed interest in the band in recent months, says Chambers, and deals are expected to be finalized in the near future.

A former member of World Party and the Lemon Trees, Chambers won a clutch of Brits and Ivor Novello Awards for his former songwriting partnership with Robbie Williams. Chambers' collaborations with Williams have yielded more than 30 million album sales worldwide.

In recent months, Chambers has written material with Italian opera star Andrea Bocelli, Eurythmics vocalist Annie Lennox, former Westlife member Brian McFadden and pop singers Delta Goodrem and Natasha Beddingfield, among others.
