Peter Jenner has been re-appointed as secretary general of the International Music Managers Forum for a further two years.

London-based IMMF is the umbrella organization for Music Managers Forum chapters in a dozen countries, including the United Kingdom, France and Germany.

Speaking from Midem today (Jan. 25), Jenner says some of his critical objectives are to achieve improved communications among the IMMF's national bodies and organize better funding.

Continued lobbying on behalf of the trade body's members will remain a key feature of his leadership. "The big issue in Europe is the single-market for music. We strongly feel that it doesn't exist at the moment," Jenner tells Billboard.biz. "The barriers within Europe are worse now than when I joined the business."

Jenner is a veteran music manager who has overseen the careers of Pink Floyd, the Clash and Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy. The current client roster at his firm, Sincere, includes Billy Bragg and Sarah Jane Morris.
