Veteran country music executive Ken Woods died at his Nashville home Feb. 4 following a brief illness. He was 51.

Woods is best remembered for his work as a country music independent promoter, as the former head of independent label Step One Records and as a key executive at Delta Disc Records.

Funeral services are scheduled today at Roesch-Patton funeral home in Nashville.
