The Hives were the big winners at the 23rd annual Swedish Grammis Awards, presented last night (Feb. 7) in Stockholm.

The band won artist of the year and rock group of the year, and its "Tyrannosaurus Hives" won album of the year. Pelle Gunnderfeldt and the band members won producer of the year for their work on the Polydor set. Additionally, the Karl Haglund-directed clip for the Hives' "Walk Idiot Walk" took the MTV best music video prize.

Three acts scored two Grammis Awards each: Per Gessle's band Gyllene Tider, Lars Winnerbäck and Marit Bergman.

Sofie von Otter was named classical solo artist of the year for "Watercolours" (DG) and received the prestigious government export award.

The awards are decided by an industry panel selected by the Grammis committee.
