Sony BMG Germany has unveiled the marketing team for its international department. Helmed by managing director of international Willy Ehmann, the new team is responsible for marketing and promoting international Sony BMG product.

Barbara Steinhagen, most recently director of mainstream for Sony Music Germany, is named marketing director of the new team. She is responsible for all non-rock artists for Columbia, RCA/Arista, Zomba Label Group, Sony BMG Nashville and Sony BMG Europe; she is also handed duties for territories such as Australia and Canada.

Marketing director Stefan Goebel, who was marketing director of international for BMG in Munich, will be responsible for Epic, J Records and Sony BMG U.K. (excluding rock/alternative).

Sony Music Germany director of urban Matthias Lumm becomes marketing director for rock.

Gaby Bartolomeo, who was most recently promotion director at Sony Music Germany, takes the same title for the Sony BMG international unit.

In his new post as senior product manager, Hanns Peter Bushoff will be responsible for heritage and jazz. Bushoff was product manager marketing at BMG.

"I am starting off with a creative, competent and highly experienced team in Berlin, where all our international artists will be in the best hands," says Ehmann, to whom all the appointees report.

In an extensive restructuring last November, Ehmann, the former Sony Music Germany managing director for international, was appointed to oversee the merged company's international activities.
