Exec will be based in Miami.
Ray Rodríguez has been appointed president and COO of Univision Communications. He takes over the post last occupied by Henry Cisneros, who left the company in August 2000.
Rodríguez, who has been president of the Univision Network since 1992, also took over as president of the company’s cable network, Galavision, and new broadcast network, Telefutura, in 2001.
In his new position, Rodríguez will be based out of Miami and will
continue to report to Univision chairman/CEO A. Jerrold Perenchio.
Univision Communications is the biggest Spanish language media
company in the United States. Its operations include the Univision
Network, Univision Radio, Univision Online, Univision Music Group,
Galavision and Telefutura.
All divisions will now report to Rodríguez.
