Rapper bows Young Money imprint.

Rapper Lil Wayne has renewed his recording contract with Cash Money Records, a joint venture with Universal/Motown Records.

"Tha Carter II" is due this year. The album is the follow-up to "Tha Carter," which hit No. 2 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart last year.

Additionally, Lil Wayne is launching an imprint through Cash Money, to be called Young Money. The imprint has signed R&B artist Real, who appeared on "Tha Carter."
