Australian singer songwriter Pete Murray has inked a new worldwide management deal.

Murray has signed with Stu McCulloch's Brisbane-based Amplifire Music Company and Sydney-based John Watson Management. McCulloch, a former Sony Music Australia A&R manager, brought Murray into Sony BMG Australia's roster. Previously an A&R manager in the mid-1990s at Sony Music Entertainment Australia, Watson now manages chart acts Silverchair, Missy Higgins, the Dissociatives and dance performer and producer Paul Mac.

Murray split with Justin Stanford's Melbourne-based Just Management in late 2004 after two years.

Since its release 18 month ago, Murray's "Feeler" album has registered six platinum awards in Australia for more than 420,000 sales. He is about to head into the studio with producer Eric Sarafin (Ben Harper, Spearhead) to start work on a follow-up album.
