WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Cox Radio Inc., the No. 4 U.S. radio chain by revenue, revealed in a Securities Exchange Commission filing on Feb. 23 that it had received a subpoena from New York State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer.

In the filing, the company said the subpoena was served Feb. 18 and involved the probe "into certain promotional practices in the radio industry." Cox said it intends to cooperate with Spitzer's inquiry.

Clear Channel, Entercom and Infinity also received subpoenas.
