David Israelite, the new president/CEO of the National Music Publishers' Assn., has named Berkley Etheridge as VP/counsel.

David Israelite, the new president/CEO of the National Music Publishers' Assn., has named Berkley Etheridge as VP/counsel.

Etheridge most recently served as attorney advisor in the U.S. Department of Justice office of legislative affairs, where she acted as the liaison to Congress on issues that included intellectual property, computer crime and telecommunications.

Etheridge will be involved in all legal and lobbying efforts for the Washington, D.C.-based NMPA.

Israelite, the former deputy chief of staff and counselor to the U.S. Attorney General, took the NMPA helm last month.
