German honors aired on RTL.

Hard rock band Rammstein and music producer/TV host Stefan Raab each nabbed two honors at Germany's Echo Awards 2005, presented Saturday at the Berlin Estrel Convention Center.

Rammstein won for alternative national/international act and national live act.

Raab was named media man of the year and most successful music producer for his work on the TV talent show "Stefan Sucht den Super Grand Prix Star." He produced the self-titled Warner album from the show's winner, Max Mutzke, who went on to represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Honors in the national rock/pop categories included Annett Louisan (female), Gentleman (male) and Soehne Mannheims (group). The national hip-hop/R&B prize went to Die Fantastischen Vier, while Silbermond walked away with the honor for national newcomer.

International prizes went to Anastacia, Robbie Williams and Green Day for rock/pop and to U.K. talent Katie Melua for newcomer.

The show, organized by the Phonographic Academy, aired Saturday night on the RTL channel. Performers included Anastacia, Mariah Carey, Die Fantastischen Vier, Louisan, Peter Maffay, Katie Melua, Nena, Rammstein, Silbermond, and Söhne Mannheims.
