MIAMI -- Lideres Entertainment, the U.S. affiliate of Venezuela's Lideres Entertainment Group, has acquired a majority stake in Ole Music, the Miami-based indie label founded by former Sony Discos head Oscar Llord.

As part of the acquisition, Ole has moved its operations into Lideres' Miami offices, and will share resources and personnel. Ole will continue to be run by Llord as president, while Lideres continues to be run by its chairman, Rodolfo Rodriguez Miranda.

Ole was created in 2003 as a partnership with Lideres, which is part of the Cisneros Group, stockholders in Univision Communications. Both Lideres and Ole are distributed by Universal Music Video & Distribution.

Ole artists -- including Elvis Crespo, Charlie Zaa, MDO, Tommy Torres and Alvaro Torres -- will now be able to benefit from advertising on the Univision, Galavision and Telefutura networks.
