Matthieu Lauriot-Prevost has been promoted to senior VP of global marketing, in charge of the marketing of EMI Music's repertoire around the world.

Lauriot-Prevost was formerly senior VP of global marketing for Virgin Music. He adds to his responsibilities the marketing of Capitol Music's repertoire stream, which was previously under Mark Collen's supervision.

Collen was on May 1 appointed senior VP at EMI Music U.K. with responsibility for developing its pop, mainstream, MOR and crossover classical roster.

Forthcoming key releases for Capitol include new albums from Gorillaz and Coldplay. On the Virgin stream, new albums from the Caesars, Royksopp, the Rolling Stones and Lenny Kravitz are expected in the months to come. Lauriot-Prevost was involved in the global marketing of Mute artist Moby's recent album "Hotel," which spent multiple weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's European Top 100 Albums chart.
