G-Unit members Banks, Buck, Yayo also featured.
50 Cent is looking to extend his dominance of the mobile world beyond ringtones with a new videogame series created exclusively for the mobile phone that will feature the entire G-Unit lineup.
Working through mobile media firm Zingy and game developer Upstart Games, G-Unit will release three mobile games with characters based on members 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck and Tony Yayo. The first of these games, “Free Yayo,” will be released this summer.
Details on the other two games in the series have not yet been announced.
Fans may play as any member of the G-Unit crew and can unlock hidden content like ringtones and wallpapers as part of the game. This is 50 Cent’s second foray into the videogame market. The rap superstar currently is developing and starring in "50 Cent: Bulletproof" from Vivendi Universal Games, expected for a fall release.
