New material by Junior Mafia due May 17.
New York-based RED Distribution has signed a pair of hip-hop/urban labels to its Red Urban Music Marketing (R.U.M.M.) division. RED, the independent distribution arm of Sony BMG, will now handle releases from New York-based Mega Media Records and Houston-based Wreckshop Records.
Due to incorrect information supplied to Billboard.biz, an earlier item incorrectly stated Mega Media's upcoming release schedule. The recently-formed Mega Media will issue the new album from Junior Mafia on May 17. Mega Media will also issue albums from producer Minnesota, R&B singer Kenny Wray and a DVD from comedian Michael Blacksun.
Wreckshop Records, which at one point was linked with Priority/Capitol, has issued albums from Fat Pat, Big Moe and D-Gotti. The label has had success working with members of Houston collective Screwed Up Click.
