Virgin Entertainment Group North America announced today (May 17) that it set new sales records at two music festivals it recently sponsored, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Coachella.

The chain set an all-time sales record at a festival at the New Orleans Festival. Sales increased 13% over last year through efforts such as 80 artist meet and greets at their Virgin MegaTent on the grounds of the seven-day festival.

Virgin has sponsored the New Orleans Festival since 1999.

At Coachella—held in Indio, Calif.—sales increased 15% over last year. A total of 14 artist signings were held during the two-day event, which Virgin has sponsored since 2001.

Upcoming Virgin-sponsored music events include the Latin Alternative Music Conference and the Latin Funk Festival, both taking place in New York.
