London-based exec will move to New York.

Universal Music International frontline marketing VP Matt Voss will be relocating from London to New York to become senior VP of international for Island Def Jam, Billboard.biz has learned.

Reporting to Island Records president Steve Bartels, Voss will succeed Faisel Durrani, who exited the label to join Clear Channel in March. It is not known when Voss will take over his new position.

Voss joined UMI in 1999. Previously, he was GM of the MCA/Geffen division of Universal Music U.K. From 1995-97 he was GM of Virgin America's Astralwerks/Caroline division in New York.

Voss was reporting to UMI executive VP of marketing and A&R Max Hole.
