French wireless operator SFR has unveiled a raft of live-music sponsorship deals.

The telecommunications giant has agreed to sponsor about 100 concerts at leading music venue Le Zenith de Paris, which has hosted more than 2,000 performances and 10 million-plus spectators since opening in 1984. SFR will also sponsor shows at Le Zenith's smaller sister venues (known as Zenith de France) in another 10 French regions.

Separately, SFR has agreed to sponsor a string of French festivals, including the Concert Europe 2 Live festival at Parc des Princes on June 18; Eurockeenes de Belfort on July 1-3 and Francofolies at La Rochelle from July 12-17.

Each festival will have a dedicated site on the “Vodafone Live!” mobile-phone portal, which is operated by SFR shareholder Vodafone, the British wireless company.

Available to the network's 3G subscribers, the sites will provide current and archive footage of the festivals.
