Founders of Perfect Image Records form own labels.

Two new reggaeton labels have launched, one founded by Anthony Perez, the other by Jorge Guadalupe and Ivy Queen.

Perez and Guadalupe, two of reggaeton's most established entrepreneurs were founders and partners in Perfect Image Records and now have parted ways to head their own ventures. Guadalupe has partnered with reggaeton star Ivy Queen-formerly on Perfect Image-to launch Filtro Musik.

The label's concept stems from its name -- Filtro -- which literally means filter.

"I've been in this industry for 15 years now, and we have the ability to filter and pick the best," says Guadalupe, who will act as president. The first release on Filtro is titled "Cosa Nostra," a compilation album that will feature a wide variety of top reggaeton acts.

Following "Cosa Nostra," Guadalupe is planning another concept, album, titled "Drama Queen," that will feature Ivy Queen in duets with several divas of different genres.

All Filtro releases will be distributed by UMVD.

Perez has launched the Roof Records. Releases will include a series of DVDs, titled "The Roof," as well as the "Jamz" series of reggaeton compilations. The Roof Records' roster will include Big Boy (who was formerly on MP Productions), reggaeton group Tribales and the "Jamz" series of reggaeton compilations.

Perez is also the producer of urban TV show "The Roof," which used to air in mun2 and is now migrating to MásMúsica TV. TV show "Jamz" will also leave mun2, to go to HTV.
