Matt Sternberg named VP of business dev.

Wurld Media has appointed Matt Sternberg VP of business development of music media. In this position Sternberg is responsible for developing relationships with leading music companies, independent publishers and music-related acquisition channels and implementing marketing partnerships with them.

"I'm focused on helping educate music companies on the benefits and marketing opportunities Peer Impact's legal peer-to-peer (P2P) business model provides," Sternberg tells of his immediate plans.

Peer Impact, Wurld Media's legal P2P network, is the first P2P to secure partnerships will all of the major music labels.

Sternberg has more than 15 years of experience in the entertainment industry, most recently as the VP of market development for Universal Music Group's eLabs division.

Sternberg also served as senior director of marketing for Music Marketing Network; an independent direct-to-consumer marketing company where he assisted in the development of some of the music industry's first online direct marketing initiatives.
