EMI Music Publishing VP office of the chairman Janice Brock has added stripes as VP external communications.

A publishing veteran with 17 years' service to EMI, Brock will now split her time between the company's offices in London and New York.

"Janice's new title reflects the increasing responsibilities she has had for some time, co-ordinating external publicity for both the U.S. and U.K. operations", says the publishing giant's chairman Martin Bandier, to whom she reports.

Brock also takes new duties with EMI's U.K. affiliate. She will represent the British office in artist relations and as a liaison between EMI Music Publishing U.K. managing director Guy Moot and parent company EMI Group's other U.K. divisions. In those duties, she reports to Moot.

Brock joined the EMI fold in 1988 with SBK Entertainment in her native United Kingdom. EMI acquired SBK the following year. Before that, she worked for Warner Bros. Music in London for 9 years.
