Co-headlining jaunt starts in September.

Veteran rock acts Weezer and Foo Fighters have revealed plans to co-headline an arena tour beginning in early September. The bands will share the stage through late October.

The groups, both of whom rose to fame in the post-grunge wake of the 1990s, recently released their fifth studio albums within weeks of each other. Foo Fighters' "In Your Honor" (Roswell/RCA) bowed mid-June while Weezer's "Make Believe" (Geffen/Interscope) hit stores in May.

An initial itinerary of 23 cities has been announced, including nights in Chicago, New York, Seattle, and Philadelphia. Additional cities, venues and dates will be unveiled soon.
