Warner Strategic Marketing has signed on as the exclusive distribution and marketing entity for the multicultural, hip-hop-themed animated series, "Da Jammies," Billboard.biz has learned. The direct-to-DVD series is a venture of L.A.-based Headstart Entertainment, headed by Doug Warr and Dwayne Corbitt, in conjunction with Toon Farm.

Toon Farm principals Aulsondro Hamilton and William Chapman II also lend their voices to the lead characters in "Da Jammies," which focuses on two adolescent, multicultural groups attending the same performing arts school.

Geared to the 6 to 16-year-old demo, the series' goal is to teach positive life lessons through the ethnically diverse characters. Among the series' special guest stars are R&B/hip-hop talents Mario and Ginuwine.

The first "Da Jammies" DVD, slated for early 2006, will feature two episodes, bonus material and a soundtrack CD.
