Country label signs on with Navarre.

Navarre Canada has picked up Canadian distribution of the newly-formed Canadian country label 306 Records from Saskatoon, Alberta. The label will issue four albums in the fall, including album from Canadian country music veterans Brad Johner and Patricia Conroy, as well as emerging artists Marlee Scott and Shane Yellowbird.

The deal gives 306 direct distribution in Canada through Navarre which is itself handled by Universal Music Canada.

"306 Records has a great team, and have brought us talented artists whose careers will be well managed, and marketed in this country," says Peter Piasecki, managing dir. of Navarre Canada based in Toronto.

"It's going to be a very busy year for us," adds Louis O'Reilly, president of 306 Records. "We've been working hard to bring outstanding country music to the market from outstanding artists. We are confident in what we will be presenting."
