Game due Sept. 13, band's record expected early '06.

With "Burnout Revenge," gaming powerhouse Electronic Arts continues to shine the light on emerging, as well as proven, acts. But the game, due Sept. 13, goes one step further.

The centerpiece of the "Burnout Revenge" in-game soundtrack--a mix of punk, metal, electronic and rock--is the debut of "Lights and Sounds" by Yellowcard. The track is the lead single from the rock quintet's still-in-progress new Capitol album, which is scheduled for an early-2006 release. Yellowcard's 2004 album, "Ocean Avenue," peaked at No. 23 on The Billboard 200; it has sold 1.6 million copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Joining Yellowcard on the in-game soundtrack are Bloc Party, Avenged Sevenfold, Comeback Kid, the Doors, Fall Out Boy, LCD Soundsystem, Maximo Park, Morningwood, the All-American Rejects, the Bravery, Timo Maas, We Are Scientists and 28 other acts.
