Miami Dade musicians and producers are joining forces for a massive concert to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina. The Miami Dade County Relief Concert will take place Sunday, Sept. 25 at the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami.

The event is being put together by Grammy-winning trumpeter Arturo Sandoval and Grammy winning producer Rudy Perez, along with Miami Dade County Commissioner Joe A. Martínez.

The event will be hosted by actors Andy Garcia, Debbie Allen and David Hasselhoff, who will also perform. All proceeds will go the American Red Cross. The show will bring together artists who are either based in Miami or have ties to the area. Confirmed acts also include Jose Feliciano, LunyTunes and Wisin & Yandel, Willy Chirino, Los Temerarios, Ed Calle, Al Dimeola, Juan Luis Guerra and Jon Secada. The show will be produced by Ray Steinman.

The idea for the concert was inspired by the song, "The Motherland of Jazz," a new composition written by Sandoval and inspired by images from New Orleans that will be performed during the evening.

Tickets range from $25 to $1000 and are available through Ticketmaster or the AmericanAirlines Arena.
