Event had been held in Houston.

The 21st Annual Stellar Awards will be held in Nashville on Jan. 21 at the Grand Old Opry House. For the past two years, the event has been held in Houston, but returns to Music City next year.

Don Jackson, CEO of Stellar producer Central City Productions, says the move was based primarily on production considerations: "I am most appreciative of the fine support we received from [Houston]. The community was a tremendous fan of the Stellar Awards; however we needed a better production facility in which to produce our show. The Grand Old Opry production venue in Nashville provides us with the top of the line facilities which will enable us to continue the high production quality that Gospel Music deserves."

CeCe Winans, Vicki Winans and Israel are slated to co-host for the 2006 event. Nominees and performers will be announced at a November press conference in Nashville.
