GSL, Pattern 25 join distribution roster.
Los Angeles-based Gold Standard Laboratories (GSL) and Seattle's Pattern 25 have switched to Redeye Distribution in Haw River, N.C., revealed the distributor.
GSL is co-owned by the Mars Volta's Omar A. Rodriguez-Lopez and Pattern 25 scored a minor indie hit last year with the debut from tween-age pop duo Smoosh.
A Redeye spokesperson says the company will begin handling GSL's catalog in early November. The label has issued full-lengths from the Locust and 400 Blows, and early singles and EPs from the likes of the Faint, !!! and Out Hud, among others.
On Nov. 15, GSL will release new albums from the Jai-Alai Savant and Gogogo Airheart, and in January the label will issue the vinyl edition of an upcoming live album from the Mars Volta. GLS was previously distributed by the Lumberjack Mordam Music Group.
In addition to Smoosh, the six-year-old Pattern 25 has released albums from Robert Roth and Spyglass. In 2006, Pattern 25 will issue a full-length from Posies guitarist Jon Auer. The label's releases were previously handled by Burnside Distribution.
