Panavision has hired former Miramax finance executive Ross Landsbaum to lead the camera company's financial efforts.

(The Hollywood Reporter) -- Panavision has hired former Miramax finance executive Ross Landsbaum to lead the camera company's financial efforts.

Landsbaum joins Panavision as executive VP and chief financial officer effective Oct. 17.

He was with Miramax, where he served four years as executive VP finance and operations and CFO, following a six-year tenure at Spelling Entertainment Group Inc., where he was senior VP/CFO.

Landsbaum will be based at Panavision's Woodland Hills headquarters and report to company president/CEO Bob Beitcher.

"We are fortunate to have someone of Ross Landsbaum's experience and capabilities join our management team," Beitcher said. "With his exposure to and in-depth understanding of the studio side of the business, Ross will be in a position to contribute immediately to our financial and operating strategies."

Landsbaum's responsibilities will include overseeing all aspects of the company's worldwide financial matters, human resources, information systems and global equipment allocation.

He succeeds Bobby Jenkins, who will not be renewing his contract with the company as he and his family have decided to return to the East Coast. Jenkins will assist in the transition during the next few months.
