New York-based RED Distribution has recently added two staffers to its promotion department. Both are newly created positions, says Howie Gabriel, VP/GM at Red Ink.

Lisa Christiano has been named senior director of promotion and marketing, says Gabriel, and will be based in Los Angeles. She was formerly VP of promotion at MCA.

Crissy Zagami has been named associate director of promotion, and will be based in New York. She was most recently director of promotion at Warner Bros.

Both will report to Danny Buch, who is Red's VP of promotion. Christiano and Zagami will work with third-party RED-distributed labels and those that fall under the Red Ink umbrella, which works primarily with small independents and downstreamed albums from parent company Sony BMG.

They join a staff that also includes promotions manager Tommy DeBenedictis.
