VNB to begin operations with Nov. 21 launch of VH1.

MTV Networks Latin America has created Viacom Networks Brazil (VNB) as part of its continuing expansion.

VNB will begin operations with the Nov. 21 launch of VH1 in Brazil. The channel will aim for viewers 25-49. Logo TV, a pay-per-view service aimed at the gay and lesbian community, is planned to launch Nov. 18 and will be available as a daily six hour programming block via Sky TV.

MTV Networks Latin America's Brazilian operations already include Nickelodeon pay TV service and MTV Brazil, a joint venture with Brazil's Grupo Abril. The channel has been a steady generator of hit albums via its MTV Ao Vivo and Acustico MTV branded releases.

VNB will be headed by Pierluigi Gazzolo, who will also continue in his post as managing director for MTV Networks Latin America.
