The Music Publishers Assn. in the U.K. on Nov. 8 named music industry veteran Stephen Navin as chief executive.

(The Hollywood Reporter) -- The Music Publishers Assn. in the U.K. on Nov. 8 named music industry veteran Stephen Navin as chief executive.

Formerly with BMG Europe and the V2 Music Group, Navin was most recently an adviser to Britain's Department of Culture, Media and Sport. He succeeds Sarah Faulder, who has joined the International Bureau of Mechanical Rights Societies.

Navin, who starts in January 2006, "will bring energy and ideas to MPA members and engage the changing user community." MPA chairman Paul Curran said.
