Joint venture to include label, video prod, mgmt.
Miami-based label Universal Music Latino has signed a joint venture deal with Los Angeles-based Ladisco Music & Entertainment (LDME). The new alliance will include a label, video production, management and advertising components.
LDME is an entertainment company founded by LATV and the sibling production team of Adolfo and Omar Valenzuela. The Valenzuela’s company, Twins (and, yes, the Valenzuela’s are twins), has produced some of Latin music’s top acts, including Thalía, Banda El Recodo and Tucanes de Tijuana. For the past few years, the Valenzuela’s have also forayed into urban sounds.
The new deal will also allow the Valenzuela’s to sign and develop talent that can be then promoted and exploited via LATV and Universal.
