Tom Aaron spent last 11 years at Columbia.

Tom Aaron has been appointed senior VP of international for Atlantic Records, based at the company's New York headquarters. The announcement was made today by Atlantic chairman/CEO Craig Kallman and president Julie Greenwald.

Aaron joins Atlantic following an 11-year stint at Columbia Records, where he was most recently VP and head of the label's international department.

He began his career in the music industry in 1991 as a marketing assistant at EMI Records. The following year, he joined Columbia Records' international team as an assistant and rose through the department's ranks. In 2001, he was named head of Columbia's international department.
