Former Island Def Jam Music Group senior VP of promotion Ken Lane joins Columbia Records Group for a similar position, sources say.

N.Y.-based Lane, who exited IDJMG earlier this year, replaces Stu Bergen, who recently exited Columbia.

The move comes on the heels of other top-level restructuring at Sony BMG, including the resignation of Columbia Records Group chairman Will Botwin and the promotion of CRG executive VP of creative marketing and promotion Charlie Walk to president of Epic Records.
