Digital music services firm Vital:Pias Digital has struck a string of deals which will enable its 100-plus independent partner labels to extend their content across various mobile platforms.

The new deals, unveiled Tuesday (Jan. 3), have been forged with mobile music aggregator Pocket Group, European mobile entertainment firm Jamster and online mobile music community Bandwagon.co.uk.

The full range of mobile music products will be covered under the contracts, including wallpaper, master ringtones, full-track downloads and video downloads.

Adrian Pope, head of Vital:Pias Digital, notes that the deals will boost revenue for labels and their artists from platforms in Europe and in markets as far flung as Asia.

The agreements "illustrate our commitment to providing a one-stop mobile solution across all channels and multiple territories," Pope says.

Labels such as Skint and Defected are already on board; other deals will be announced in the coming weeks.

Vital:PIAS Digital is a division of London-based indie Vital Distribution and Brussels-based parent music group Play It Again Sam. It incorporates dedicated digital production services, specialized sales and marketing assistance, reporting and data management.
